Body odor occurs when bacteria on your skin break down acids in your sweat

Certain diseases or hormonal changes can affect body odor.

 

Strong body odor can negatively affect your quality of life, making you feel embarrassed, self-conscious, and even ashamed.

 

Causes

 

Bacteria on your skin cause body odor

It's completely normal to have a natural body odor and isn't necessarily related to how much you sweat

Sweat itself is odorless

Some medical conditions, genetics, having overweight or eating certain foods could make you more susceptible to bad body odor

hormones, the food you eat, infection, medications or underlying conditions like diabetes Prescription-strength antiperspirants or medications may help.

Nutrient Deficiencies: Mineral deficiencies, particularly Zinc, cause body odour

Drugs such as marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and alcohol may leave lingering odors on the body and/or clothing

being overweight

having a condition like diabetes, kidney disease or liver disease.bacteria present in your underarms stress. 

Prevention and control

Good hygiene, loose-fitting clothes, reducing stress, and possibly shaving or waxing the area might help prevent or reduce body odor

Bathe daily

Regular bathing, especially with an antibacterial soap, reduces the growth of bacteria on your skin

Choose clothing to suit your activity

For daily wear, choose natural fabrics, such as cotton, wool and silk

Try relaxation techniques

Change your diet

Drink Plenty of Water

Spritz in the Closet

Store a Scented Sachet in Your Underwear Drawer

Perfume Your Hairbrush

Spray Your Bare Torso with Fragrance

Blend with Other Favorite Scents

Apply Lightly Scented Deodorant

Use Shoe Spray.
