Once again, the easiest way to know a Nigerian who has no integrity, who is against your future, who is eaten up by tribalism … is anyone who dislikes Peter Obi and his efforts in fighting corruption.
Some people think the clamour for Peter Obi as President might be a mere Igbo chauvinism. Have there not been Igbo candidates who came out in the previous presidential elections? Did Igbos support them like they’re supporting Peter Obi?
Igbos massively voted for Abiola, while some Igbos were contestants. Igbos voted for Obasanjo, while some Igbos were contestants. Igbos have never really believed in having one single leader. But if you must lead them, you must be very credible and full of integrity.
That was why when Peter Obi came out to contest, his integrity being well known, all sensible people not only Igbos started clamouring for this man to lead.
It’s becoming very clearer to me that the only solution to this impasse is Biafra. But let’s hope that many sensible non-tribalistic people out there will see reasons one more time.
