When I first started in Nollywood, I was very young. Many people didn’t take me seriously because I looked small and didn’t know much. I felt lost sometimes. I needed someone to show me the way, to believe in me when I didn’t even fully believe in myself.

That person was Mommy Mercy Johnson. She took me in like her own little sister. She didn’t just teach me how to act, she taught me how to carry myself with grace and confidence. She corrected me with love, showed me how to speak in movies, and how to behave respectfully on set. Sometimes, she would even buy food for me and check if I was okay.

She stood by me when others turned their backs. She made me feel seen, loved, and safe. I’m where I am today because someone chose to care.

Thank you, Mommy Mercy. I’ll never forget your love and kindness. You helped me become who I am today.

Vatican Security Blocks Seyi During Tinubu s Meeting With Pope

President Bola Tinubu’s first son, Seyi, was in his entourage to the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV, on Sunday.

Daily Trust had reported different highlights of the event, including the president’s encounter with Peter Obi, one of his major rivals in the 2023 elections.

Obi, who came third in the election, defeated Tinubu in Lagos, the president’s stronghold since democracy returned to Nigeria in 1999.

However, one highlight of the trip to Vatican City was the encounter that Tinubu’s son, who wields a major influence back home, had with the Pope’s security team.
In a video making rounds online, Seyi was seen walking towards his father’s direction when a plain cloth security official redirected him calmly.

Nigeria’s number one citizen was exchanging pleasantries with the Pontiff when the incident happened.

Dressed in a black suit like his father, Seyi attempted to catch up with the president, but the official blocked him.

However, hours later, another video of Seyi dinning with some key officials of the Roman Catholic Church.

I remember when I still entered Nollywood and was lost, not until I met my colleague Chinedu who gave me hope and a father figure who always reminded me that being short isn't a crime. He told me, "Use your weakness to bring out creativity."

He was a true definition of a hero. Him alone knew seven languages, and he could interpret a script within seconds and translate it into other languages. One thing about him is, since he was unique, he was always paid higher, and we used to benefit a lot from him since we usually worked with him.

Countless times we were paid, and after he was paid, he would reduce some money from his own and add to ours. I wish he was still alive so that I could appreciate him every day, but all same, a legend never dies.”

Leaders galavanting with a convoy of 70 2025 Toyota Land Cruisers but owing China and World Bank.
