Mum I just checked out the results of the paramount chieftaincy elections in Kailahun Penguia, and I'm really sorry it didn't go the way we all hoped. As the only woman among eight men in Kailahun Penguia Chiefdom, where people say a woman can't become chief, you took a stand and shattered those stereotypes. You ran an amazing campaign, met so many people…especially women, youth, and various stakeholders – and pushed for really important issues like mining rights royalties for landowners, good roads, and affordable healthcare. It’s totally understandable to feel let down after investing so much time and passion, especially right after that intense medical evaluation. But just know that this disappointment doesn’t take away from the progress you've made in Penguia and the advocacy for women and children. You've shown such determination and clarity, and so many women and young people look up to you as a source of hope. Those qualities will definitely bring rewards in the future.
